28 Motorcycle Destinations for a Day Ride

  1. Roni C.  Spending a day riding around Manitoulin Island. It’s loaded with plenty of great little places to stop and riding is great, not to busy during the week, great views no matter where you are and lots of adventures to be had!

  1. Darlene D.  Parksville and Tofino on Vancouver Island. Very picturesque and most of the ride is by the ocean

  1. Don N.  Always liked the ride to Lake George, Ny along #3 east of Watertown.

  1. Andrew P.  Wisconsin has the Drumlins, and there are two excellent motorcycle museums, a couple car museums, a mustard museum and a fantastic train museum. And there’s that national park up north no one goes too.

  1. John T. From Guelph, through the Hockley valley, up to Creemore, through Collingwood, along Georgian Bay to Owen Sound, across to Sauble Beach, then back trhough the country side to Guelph. You will never see soooo many landscapes, waterfalls and lighthouses in one day! The perfect mix! And lots of watering holes along the way!

  1. Carla V.  Hwy 511 from Lanark to Calabogie is a famous biker route in this area. Lots of curves and hills. Watch your speed, it can be dangerous if your going to fast, that causes a few bike accidents every summer. Save the speed for the Calabogie Motorsport park.

  1. Randy B.  Kaslo, New Denver, Nacusp and back and forth. Based at New Denver. Super twisty roads in the beautiful BC interior. Because its so pristine and quiet.

  1. Noel H.  this is the Kootenay area I was talking about. Highway 31A is between Kaslo and New Denver.

  1. Tom M.  Petersburg, ON. Blue Moon has good schnitzel.

  1. Tom M. Hey, I like running up to Orangeville via Forks of the Credit, too.

  1. Noel H. Dreamcycle motorcycle museum and cafe in Sorrento BC. It is on highway 1 between Kamloops and Salmon Arm. There are some nice roads a person can use to get there as well. There is also the Hell’s Gate Air tram near Boston Bar in the Fraser Canyon. This is also Highway 1, about 2 hours or so east of Vancouver. Highway 99 between Lillooet and Pemberton, (AKA the Duffy Lake Road), with lunch at the Pony in Pemberton.

  1. Nicholas R. Barrie Ontario. Anyone free to stop by. I have a garage for ur bike and a spare bed for head.

  1. Life is a journey. Waterton NP, the Cowboy trial from Pincher Creek to Waterton is a lovely ride.

  1. Chris L. Most anywhere on VI. is a day ride for me, some short and some long.

  1. Jeff S. Originally from Stoney Creek Mountain area in Ontario, I always loved ending a ride, along Ridge Rd. from the Niagara area, right up to Hwy. 20. Very scenic, 2 lane, hilly, curvy blacktop and little to no traffic. Snake Rd. in the Hamilton-Burlington, ON. area is also a good one.

  1. Ian S. Calabogie and back. Great roads all the way from Kingston.

If you’ve just got a day, where do you like to go?

    • Hi Ana Maria,

Yes it is a very nice road. Have you tried Ridge Road along the top of the escarpment? Great view across Lake Ontario.

      Thanks.
