Walking the Mystical Path with Practical Feet – 2

Life is not a problem to be solved, but a mystery to be lived.”––Gabriel Marcel

Last week I offered a more mystical perspective on my upcoming trip. Here’s the practical version of how the next three months is mapped out, subject to changes in the Road, of course.

First 3 MonthsAugust 4 – Departure from my Mono home. First order of the day is to pack up Measha and take her to vacation home, where she’ll be until I return. Then I’m catching the afternoon ferry to Manitoulin Island, stopping in Lion’s Head at Taylor-Made B&B for a quick farewell to my friends Barbara and Dave Wynd.

August 6 – After riding around Lake Superior in northern Ontario, I’ll spend a few days with friends in Fort Frances, Ontario. Remember a new podcast episode airs every Wednesday. This one will be a personal look into my background.

August 12– Arriving at Crazy Horse, SD and learning more about Sioux Culture

August 18 – (Approx.) southern Alberta, visiting the area where my dad grew up, right next door to a Blackfoot Reservation.

August 21-24Horizons Unlimited Travelers Meeting in Nakusp, BC, where I’ll be presenting on my trip and living and working from the road.

September 25-28Horizons Unlimited Travelers Meeting in Yosemite, CA, where I’ll be presenting on my trip and living and working from the road.

October 24-31 – Continuing studies in Energy Medicine in Joshua Tree, CA

November 1 – South…..

In between all of these dates are lots of miles of road and many experiences. My intention is to be open to what the road delivers, staying focused on the reason I’m taking this journey. People, and experiences have already come together in the most extraordinary way. I can’t even imagine how this will continue to manifest throughout this time on the road.

As my dear friend Ila Sisson pointed out on our weekly walk in the woods, this is a journey of integration, pulling together a lifetime of experiences with the wisdom that lies ahead. I embrace the Road and look forward to sharing my experiences with you.
