A Red Shirt, Courage and a Cat

Today is Friday. That means I’m wearing a red shirt to honor those who have served to protect our rights and freedom. They’ve also sacrificed to protect the lives of others in countries far removed from our own.


red-shirtMost of their work is unseen by us — duties that put them in peril and require them to demonstrate a great deal of courage in obeying orders.


Soldiers are people first, with all the same needs and fears.  That’s why this video touched me so deeply and made me want to share it with you.


Admittedly, I am a bona fide cat lover, which made this story that much more poignant.
