Liz Jansen Bio

Liz is a healer, writer, speaker, facilitator, adventurer – and rider extraordinaire.  Her first book, Women, Motorcycling and the Road to Empowerment, was released in 2011 and has received international acclaim. In 2014 she published Life Lessons from Motorcycle.

In 2003, she founded Trillium Motorcycle Tours & Events to create experiences that instill a sense of adventure, freedom, and community while traveling the transformative road to personal and professional leadership.

From 2006 to 2014 she served on the board of the Motorcyclists Confederation of Canada, including as Chair. She has been a member of the Advisory Council for the American Motorcyclist Association’s International Women Riders Conference in 2009 and 2012 and the project manager for Canada’s first similar event in 2010.

In addition to being a certified Senior Motorcycle Instructor, Liz has worked with individuals, corporate clients, manufacturers, retailers and the public sector. Her writing has been published in the Toronto Star, Ontario Tourism motorcycle touring website, national magazines, and ezines.  Her expertise has been sought for television and radio interviews and magazine and newspaper articles.

Prior to establishing Trillium, she enjoyed a career in Corporate Human Resources, Training and Development with a large international organization.  From 2004 to 2011 she was a Part Time Faculty member at Georgian College.
