Use Your Unique Voice to Make A Difference

Voice Presence

It’s stories like this that give me a wake-up call.  Here’s someone who has never made an audible sound, yet her voice is being heard around the world.

Karly Wahlin’s story is one of profound courage and inspiration.  Her philosophy of recognizing gifts rather than limitation is changing many lives.  And setting an example for all of us.

Read about her here .In my own voice: The brilliance of Karly Wahlin

There are two big lessons for me.

First of all, a reminder that our voice is not merely the words that come out of our mouth. It’s how we’re heard, the impressions we leave and the gifts we express through our thoughts, feelings and actions. It’s how we live every moment.

Secondly, we all have the power within us to make the world a better place.  When we focus on our challenges, not only do they appear disproportionately large, but they consume energy we could be using to do good.

Thank you Karly. And thank you Barbara McAfee for bringing us Karly’s story.
